Mosquito Hill Nature Center Inside the center you will find a selection of natural history displays, exhibit areas, an art gallery, a library, an auditorium, and classrooms. Outside there is a butterfly house that is open on a schedule from July through August, an observatory that is open during scheduled events, and trails. Located just two miles East of New London off of Highway S.

Mosquito Hill Nature Center Three miles of developed hiking trails includes several prairie trails and a loop to the top of Mosquito Hill where there are inspiring scenic overlooks. A .6 mile trail is paved for wheelchair access. During the winter snow season there are five miles of snowshoe trails and one un-groomed cross-country skiing trail. (All trails are closed during deer hunting season).
Wolf River Sturgeon Trail 1/2 half mile paved trail along the Wolf River west of New London on hwy X. A great place for fishing. View sturgeon, up to 6 feet long, spawning for only a couple of days in late March or in April after the water temperature has reached 50 degrees. Contact us for updates or to have your name added to the spawning notification listing.
Wolf River Paddle Sports Kayak and canoe trips with a shuttle service. Two to five hour trips on the Wolf River, Embarrass River, and Little Wolf River. Also rents two canoes that are outfitted for fishing excursions with rod holders and anchors.
Wolf River Trips & Campground Tube, kayak, and canoe trips on the Little Wolf River. Campground staff will shuttle you to a starting point up river. You then leisurely float your way back down river to the campground beach. |
